This is written on a lovely card I got from OXFAM.

if you can always be cheerful
If you can sleep without drugs
If you can relax without alcohol
If you can start the day without caffeine
If you can take blame without resentment  If you can resist complaining
If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it
If you can understand it if your loved ones are to busy to give you the time
And if you can overlook it when those you love take it out on you when,through no fault of yours,something goes wrong.
Then my friend you are almost as good as your dog.

It is a lovely poem but...

one of my Pekingese sulks and she holds  a grudge, she certainly complains if she isn't worshipped every minute of every day..mm maybe I should read her the poem.

It is still lovely though, thank you for sharing it
