Forgive me A4A for I have sinned.  It has been eight months since my last visit here... :-[

I have of late grossly negleted my allotment.  So much so that the council served me notice of reposession before christmas.  This last year has been difficult for us and a new baby and new house have meant that time has been at a premium.  I grew nothing last year save a few gooseberries and some brambles (I do quite a nice line in nettles too).  Luckily the council were sympathetic and withdrew the notice.

I would like to publicly apologise to my allotment for the wanton neglect it has suffered and I give it my upmost assurance that it will not happen again. By the end of this spring you will be tidy & well cared for with an abundance of life within you.

My lottie, I'm so sorry  :'(

To achieve forgiveness my son you must do the following pennance

the next 5 night time feeds you must read a page of the Real Seeds Catalogue to your child
For every unpacked box in the garage you must sow a new to you vegetabe

and for evey bramble bush you must cultivate at least one stick of rhubarb and aquire one cooking apple from a fellow plot holder to make most excellent crumble

Then you are forgiven
is it in the sale?

It's been that long I might have to get a book out to remind me how to dig!

I'm planning to go up there on Sat morning.  I shudder to think what state it's in.  I'll try to get a 'before' pic so I can see what progress I make throughout the next month or so.

It won't be too bad if it's only been left for a year. We won't require you to put on sackcloth and ashes and walk barefoot to Jerusalem for a first offence.

Nelson, you realize of course, if you backslide and fall off the turnip wagon AGAIN,
you'll need to produce a SECOND baby TOOT SWEET to gain forgiveness of the Lottie General.
That should put the fear in you.

After the penance and the forgiveness comes the rehabilitation...

what time shall I expect you round my plot?

;D

Lesson for life:
1. Breathe in     2. Breathe out     3. Repeat

hopefully it won't be to bad too dig, when I got my allotment no-one had use in two years and I am rubbish at digging, and we managed to get most of it sorted, lost a couple of pounds in the process, but thats the fun

Just as soon as mine looks like the mental image I have of 'Nelson's Perfect Allotment', I'll be right round. ;D
