well will it ever get finished! We were given a big greenhouse but all the glass broke before we could get it up! so we bought polycarbonate instead, has taken a long time over a year to fix as is a bigger than normal greenhouse, a commercial one, hubby been doing it on his own not one off the children/grandchildren would help, wait till they want anything!because we had polycarbonate the roof was thicker than the glass so he has had to alter the glazing bars to fit and despite all the wind we had most have stayed there, only trouble we have now is we have run out of glazing bars because the polycarbonate is about a inch smaller than the glass was as that was all we could get ,so have come to end 5 sheets to go and are 3 glazing bars short, will be glad when it is completely finished it has been on big expense and headache from the start, still got to get ground level and finish putting the bricks underneath(do things back to front should have done that at first!)

You could probably make a rough and ready galzing bar from pieces of aluminium from a good DIY shop. I haven't found a free substitute. I made the complete base of one of my 'houses like this

finished apart from ground we found an old greenhouse frame down the field wasn't the same but he made it fit all we have to do now is dig floor level and get another clear polycarbonate for the window because with the wind the other week it lifted window and was one with glass in,dig ground level and put some bricks underneath greenhouse frame ,why do we do things back to front!
