Yo Gavin - your fame has reached West London, man....

Whilst doing a little produce swapping with a fellow plottie today (his spuds are amazing.......but I've got courgettes) talk turned to comfrey and other such important topics.

'I've found this excellent allotment website - brilliant it is!  Run by a bloke from up North somewhere, just had to move his plot....'  
'That must be Gavin', I said.  
'Yeah, that's him - really knows his stuff'

Wow - what can I say, Allotment_chick? :-[  Except - blush (as gracefully as I can?  :-[ ); and thank you? -------- hey, and for God's sake, don't disillusion him :) !!!!!

I am seriously back into learning mode - never having had to work a clay soil before  ???

But - it is embarrassing, mainly because I have learnt SO much from people here on A4A and on the allotment; the number of times I've tinkered with a page because of something somebody has said here or on the plot!  And worse - the backlog of edits to add!  And worse still - how do I acknowledge all those people's contributions?    

And another thing I'd add - the amount of simple straight good will out there is a revelation.  Yes, I moan about viruses and spam and all the rest ---- but I could never have believed the level of support from "friends unseen".

It's a funny little world, allotments.  Archaic?  Naaaaaah - I'll hang up a few pennants, and say it's the way to go?

That's the buzz, though - don't you find!?  Learning all the while ....

Like today ......bl**dy annoyed!  Checked my boysenberries and tayberries - what fruit didn't get blown off the plants by the wind has been nicked by the birdies ....  :'(
My fault - too slow with the fleece.  if you don't net it, you don't get it, right!?
