Raspberries and humidity

I am thinking of planting some raspberries (all gold) near my pond.  Is this a bad idea or would they like the humidity ?

The reason of course is lack of space :(

unless your pond is a hot tub they should quite like it  ;D but if the roots have access to the water of the pond they will not like being water logged - as always you can but try

They'll love the pond crud and water from when you do any water changes. I don't think the humidity would be significant, but as calendula says, avoid waterlogging the roots.

Basically I'm with the others on this one!

Another thing about the roots is; they may get under the pond liner as opposed to becoming waterlogged.

Then when the stems start to grow upwards they might damage the pond liner.

Just a thought ???
