Loving having chickens for the first time

 :D My other half has wanted chickens for ages and i finally caved in on Wednesday he went to buy some chicken wire to make them a run as he was off work on Thurs as i was off out! he came home with said chicken wire and three last years rhode island reds in a parrot cage my two year old was absolutely delighted. He put them in my shed and went to work.  I didn't have the heart to leave them in there and using my sons play house and the chicken wire i made a start on Chickenopulus then went to jollys and bought all necessary food and bedding items.  We have had two to four eggs a day and i love it! Chickens are so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have cleared a massive 20 sq ft patch ready for the new build to start they going to love it. Has anyone heard that human hair in a stocking tied to the run keeps foxes away or is it just a myth?

Chickens are great aren't they  ;D

I've heard that about human hair as well, also tiger pooh!

The former is easier to get hold of though!
