Ned Sherrin and now Alan. I will miss both of them so much. Alan was a delight to listen to on The News Quiz, and his trips on a bus with Christopher someone...brilliant!

A sad loss to all those who love words and humour.

Going back earlier in his career, Punch was never the same/as good after he left.  In his hands it was a wonderful magazine, a joy to read.

Personally, he will be very sadly missed.

What a shock, I hadn't heard he had died! I thought that he was brilliant, and Giles and Victoria are both fantastic journalists and presenters in their own right - my thoughts go to them at this difficult time

I was really saddeded to hear the news about Alan Coren's death, he was such a wit, and never failed to make me chuckle. Such a clever man with such a way with words, but very warm with it. A sad loss.  :( busy_lizzie
