Do slugs eat them?

No, but mice do if you have them!

thought you might like to see my pics!
My parsnips are a smashing success. I didn't do all that toilet roll faffing around, these were straight sowed in March and April. I sowed more in June and they are off to a good start too.
And yes the foliage gets enormous!
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

Someone told me to do the toilet roll trick but thats ok if you just want a plot to look good for appearance sake. The parsnips just grow like clubs with loads of whiskers. Believe me.  pmsl. I have tried saying I can wait yes I can wait but it dont work Kev
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"
