Those re-usable teflon sheets are very good for when making fruit leather, or winders or similar.
The other thing I've found is that you can use up apples previously used for making jellies - when you strain off juice, instead of chucking the pulp, keep it in the freezer for when you make fruit leather, it's fine for when you mix it with other strong tasting fruits like blackcurrant or sharp plums.
