Should I dig these up as needed, or can I harvest the lot and keep them in a sack?? And if so, how long will they keep?

They will keep, in a sack for several months in a cool, dry place...

I dug all my Kestrel second earlies 2 weeks ago, dried them at the weekend and they are all in hessian sacks now. I also did the same with my Desiree as they were ready early.

That's great thanks - I just was not sure if second earlies kept their flavour.

Many actually develop more flavour in storage as the water content drops...
