Anyone visited Ness Gardens recently?

Am so excited! OH is taking me off for to Chester for the weekend (not this one in the rain thank goodness!). As I was brought up nearby but have not been back since early teens am really looking forward to seeing some of my favourite places from years ago. Ness Gardens is top of the list, so wondered if anyone has any inside info? CLx

We are 'Friends of Ness' and visit regularly - love seeing the gardens change through the year. Plus the cakes are wonderful!  ;D
They've just built a potager garden, next to the alpine house and it was looking good the last time I went, with the plants looking rather happier than the ones on my plot.  In fact, I fancy a trip this weekend, weather permitting. It usually rains when we decide to visit the gardens (a good excuse for a warming cup of coffee and slice of cake...)
