Vegetables and soft fruit

Can vegetables and soft fruit be grown together in the same garden/plot ?

Hi

Suppose it depends what they are. Its best not to grow strawberries near potatoes, or in ground they have been in recently, as they carry similar diseases. Other soft fruits are on bushes and could shade out other plants so I suppose you just have to pick and choose. Then again I'm not an expert
