Red & Black striped beetle

Quite a few discovered while weeding, quite small with horizontal stripes, tried googling but not found nothing, any ideas?? won't start the war dance until i know they are baddies!!!!

Is this it by any chance? This is an Asparagus beetle.

No Teegee, my new pet is rounder and just red & black striped! but thanks for posting  ;D
Hehehe Frog know what you mean about work related brain death! getting some sanity back here, skools out for summer!!!!!

I got a yellow and black one...!
It's the dreaded Colorado beetle.

Nope, not on there Snoozi, but i did identify SCARABAEOIDEA - CETONIIDAE that were on my broad beans last year, great gallery! Not the Colorado Beetle either Ken thanks for posting the link. Dennis and Gnasher don't seem to be doing much damage so I'll leave them to it!
