It's a 'winter storage butternut type', I got 3 plug plants  from Defland nurseries, it gave high yields in NIAB trials (whatever they are........  ???)

Is Uchiki Kuri the same as Red Kuri  Jeannine??

Jeannine

Found in a  squash growers newsletter. It is a vine, 6-7 fruits per plant 1 kilo in weight, another type of Butternut, very early fruiter, about 4 weeks ahead of most US Butternuts. Good for UK climates

and yes  believe that Red Kuri is an easier way of saying UCHIKI .XX Jeannine

From my Unwin's seed packet:

Butternut Hunter (F1)  The first butternut squash to be bred in the UK to give excellent results in our climate whatever the weather. plants grow to 90cms, plant 90cms apart.

Water freely & frequently especially during dry spells.  Once fruits start to swell, feed plants regularly with a liquid fertiliser.  Harvest Sept to Oct.
is it in the sale?
