Water boatmen.

hello

I have loads of waterboatmen in my water but. I am trying not to get them in the watering can, as I am assuming they will die if they endup on the soil in the greenhouse.

Am I right, or will they be able to fly/walk/hop/hitch a ride back to some water?

Caroline - they are meanies - MEANIES !!!!  Mine had babies and has now disappeared off somewhere else  :(

Be very nice and polite to them, if you upset them and they spit on you their saliva is toxic. Yuck   :'(

Oooh, I had no idea! I think I'll be a bit more careful when I dip the can into the water but now!. There are loads in there. I dont want to end up with a hand that looks like it has been in a pirrhana pool :o ;D

I think you'll find they are pond skaters and not boatmen.

You will be okay pond skaters don't hurt you :)
