My daughter has asked me what to feed the following with (fancy asking me :))

acerpalmatum 'atropurpureum'

That is the only information she has. Appreciate any help.

Hi Lorna, found the following on an Acers website:

Feeding Feed weekly with high nitrogen fertiliser as soon as leafbuds open in spring to encourage strong growth and to strengthen leaves against sun and wind scorch. Withdrawing some early fertilising produces very short internodes and finer growth required on 'finished' or developed trees.

Having said that, we have one of these, and have never fed it in the last 6/7 years - even moved it in a pot when we moved house, and it is thriving

Thanks Kathi. Just dashed down from garden, Alyson rang from middle of Focus to ask if I had got any info for her.  (must get my cordless phone repaired!!) So she is now buying feed!! (Kids eh?)
So at least she will buy the right feed. I did google under plant finder but couldn't find information.
Thanks once again. Lorna.
