With the first frosts due very soon what should I be protecting?
What likes frost and what doesn't? What should I be picking the last of now and clearing away?

All I have left at the allotment is runners, french beans, squash, courgettes, parsnips, sweded, psb, carrots, leeks, kohl rabi, raab, beetroot.
At home I have toms, chillis, pots, I intend to get these into the greenhouse in the next few days. Oh and Jersusalem artichokes.

Thanks,
Sue

Your squash and courgettes for sure. The beans, toms. chillis and pots as well. The others will be OK
When God blesses you with a multitude of seeds double  the blessing by sharing your  seeds with other folks.

The swede and Kohl rabi will grow better under fleece, although they don't really need it, and the Pigeons won't strip the leaves when it gets colder...
;D

debster

is fleece the best protection from frost?

miniroots

Oh no!

Just when I had finally managed to get a courgette plant to fruit!!  I've only had 3 so far - but there are loads just developing now...

I'll swaddled it in fleece...
