had a m&s pizza last night,saved some sunblush tomato seed( I just can't help myself) ::)

has anyone tried this? do you think they will grow?

Toms are really easy to grow so you shoud be OK as long as they hadn't been cooked. Whether they do well in our climate is another question. A neighbour of mine tried the variety they use for tinned tomato, and said they were completely tasteless.

I cooked the pizza before saving the seed :o :o the idiot that I am ;D

if anyone is interested i saved more UNCOOKED tomato seeds off a M&S pizza, and they have taken just 3 days to germinate /shades x

It will be interesting to see what variety they are, as sunblushed is just a marketing term for tomatoes that have been ripened in the sun.

Tomatoes seem to germinate well on railway lines when they have  had an even more interesting journey than yours AS.  ;D

That's what they're designed to do. The idea is that you eat the tomato, then drop the seed somewhere with a neat little pile of fertiliser.

Sun blushed tomatoes are half dried tomatoes as opposed to sun dried which are dried more, it is a food preparation not a tomato variety. XX Jeannine
