Just got this brilliant old sofa from the local second hand shop, it was originally £70 a few months ago, then £50 then £20 and then they just had 'free' on it so I snapped it up.

Its from the 50's and hardly used, it seemed a shame to destroy it with flying sparks from my fire so I got a pair of funky 70's curtains and draped them over. Fantastic, now I can lounge around with tea and biscuits in front of my fire.

Such fun smashing out the old filthy cupboard at the back of the hut.

My auntie's funky 70s curtains look fab in your shed!! I'm sure I can remember that pattern....sofa fits in there really well, doesn't it? Great job 8)

It reminds me of that old scene from Corrie whe Jack and Vera got all comfy in the shed and had a little singalong, ahhh brought a tear to my eye that scene did  ;D

It is great. I just have a small flat with no garden so its superb to have it.

Anyone else who fancies a plot in springburn gardens allotments, glasgow should give them a ring, there are quite a few empty plots.

how big is the shed? Is it brick?

Old wood and metal hut, half of it with a see through plastic roof. Around 20 foot long and luckily still waterproof.

But we have a size restriction.

Friday and Monday i am heading up the site and plan on cutting word for a floor for he shed. (currently you have to step into it over the bottom beam onto a wood floor which is a little cold and bumpy.

I then plan on getting a spare chair up to the plot so i can sit in comfort on a flat area.

Then i want to put in some shelving by the window, and i want to put some hooks up for tools etc. Once i have the shelves up i plan on having a little fun with a can of gap filling foam to seal up some of the larger gaps :-)

If i am still up to it i also need to fit my drain pipe :-)

I am going to see if i can get a friend with a trailer to bring up some stuff to my plot like my 4 tier greenhouse ( if i take it apart i will not get it back together again ), the chair and some other bits of wood that i am hording. I also have some sheets of polystirene which i was going to use to help warm up the beds. And the rigid plastic for my next building project. hehe

Depending on how i get on Monday i hope to paint the shed inside and out to make it look a little smarter. Got some wood paint on freecycle.
