I have been to wilkinsons and bought some Growmore, some Bone meal and some Blood and other stuff (can't remember what it was, just now).

I am new to allotmenting and am not sure if I should use them all on every bed or if there is a method. Certain ones for certain types of veg. Anyone throw any light on the matter, please??

I presume the 'blood' one might be blood fish and bone which is a slow release fertiliser as are the other two. This means they release the minerals in them quite slowly to benefit plants over a long period of time.

If it is dried blood on its own you have bought this is a fast release 'high nitrogen' fertiliser and is generally applied as a tonic to speed up leaf growth.

This link my clarify the use of fertilisers a bit more; http://tinyurl.com/2cwym3

Growmore and Fish blood and bone are both general purpose fertilisers. Both serve the same purpose-ie a balance of nutrients.

Growmore is `inorganic` FB+B is considered `organic` plants can`t tell the difference

Growmore is faster to release.
