I have to agree. Ours was only a boring old casserole but I got great satisfaction from knowing that all except the potatoes, which I've run out of, and the neck of lamb, was home grown. I was going to say free, but they were probably the most expensive in the land, after rent, fertiliser, cost of tools and greenhouse, fuel to collect them ... etc.  ;D

You can't please all of the people all of the time, but you can't upset them all at once either.

I'm only showing off because I haven't ever been able to grow carrots before.. this new allotment is very light, by our standards, and has an eight foot brick wall (South facing)... had to take it when it came up !
