I'd never thought of planting a grape vine, but I'm very tempted now.  How long after planting do you get your first grapes?

We eat our Regent as dessert, they are a bit small and have pips... but I need to up the thinning to get bigger grapes, they are sweet enough by the end of Sept.
We got some the first Summer after planting!

okra

I have had one in the garden for a number of years, don't know what variety is but they are black, small and pippy and taste okay. We also use the leaves for dolmas (filled vine leaves) and I have also made some wine (which tasted okay)
