I've got 3 roses and I don't know what to do with them or whether they are bushes, climbers or what.
One is called Gertrude Jeckyll and I'm still trying to find out what the other 2 are.
They are still in the black plastic wrappers that they came in from the nursery  :-[
When should I plant them and should I have pruned them?
Forgive my ignorance on this.

Apparently it can be grown either as a shrub, ie a bush, or as a short climber. I suspect the former would work better given the size of the plant. Plant them ASAP, and don't worry about pruning. Unless you want the biggest possible bloom for a show, roses work best with minimum pruning. Let it bush out and just take out obvious crossing branches and anything liker that.
