Propagating or taking cuttings from Xmas tree

 Hello all,
just wondering if it's possible to take cuttings form my Nordman Xmas tree ? I thought, as I like it as a tree and not just a decoration, I'd like to try and grow one in the garden.
Now I know that some where in the ether, one of you wonderful people will know ??
