An offer to NTL/Telewest customers from Virgin, free 'phone, 300 any network minutes,
300 any network texts, no contract, £10 per month Direct Debit. Worth that money all
day long I think. I've got mine, 1.3 megapixal camera as well in the 'phone.

Can you post a link with the details on ???
I am after a new camera phone with bluetooth and a deal like this would be great. I don't however want to get stung on high call charges, at the moment I am an old O2 customer and so get a good deal on phone and text rates...
Thanks in advance,
woppa

Sounds like a good offer until you read the small print and I can't find the bit about a free camera phone, ??? don't bother phoning them up as you will either be passed from pillar to post or be waiting for christmas to arrive ::) Telewest site states no contract where as Virgin states otherwise, read on.

I made one 'phone call to one person, not passed about, he took my details, the 'phone
was delivered the next morning at 8 am. no contract taken out, can cancel at any time.

That's why I was kept waiting on the phone for so long presumably ??? I wanted the free mobile camera phone but just didn't have the patients to wait. ::)

They must be shifting a boat load of free phones with this offer, anyone else managed to get one? ???

Mac49

My neighbour 'phoned NTL customer services and they put her through to Virgin and her
'phones (2) were delivered the same time as mine.

What phone did you get Mac?

I can only see where it says they send you a sim and you keep your existing phone??

Roy Bham UK

That's what I read too, :-\  plus this

Mobile phone deal - half price

    *
      Keep the phone you've got.
    *
Swap to an exclusive monthly tariff - pay half the usual price.
    *
      Get 300 texts and 300 minutes for £10 a month (normally £20)
    *
Use your calls and texts to any UK mobile network, any time.

And this... :-\

The legal stuff

   1.
Services available only in ntl:Telewest cabled streets. Subject to network capacity. 12 month minimum term contract. ???

I got the Lobster 575, I believe that it is the only one on offer with this package. it's a tidy
'phone, does everything a 'phone should do + takes 'photo's etc etc.
Mac.
P.S. Dedicated 'phone line No. is 0800 408 9342

Mac49

Roy, I think that you will find that the 12 month contract applies to cable tv, not the 'phone.

Ooh! it's all too confusing for me ;D you can't buy a mobile phone without getting your brain haggled, even my gas, leccy and phone bills have been reshuffled to try and leave me brain dead. ::) :P ;D

Roy, 'phone that No. I think they are closed now, I got an answering m/c. left my name &
No. & they 'phoned me the next day, got my 'phone the day after.
Mac.
P.S. Landlines are included as well as mobile.

Mac49

Roy, you sound just like me, I used to by gas of the gas board, electric of the electricity
board, 'phone from the GPO. then Maggie sold them, nothing's been the same since.
Mac.

Cheers Mac, Ordered three sim cards!! from one address with the on-line form as couldn't get through on the phone. Then once my account was set up e-mailed them on Saturday evening- 24 hours later got a phone call back and have ordered 2 phones which are coming tomorrow (£2.99 each). Can't go wrong really.

Mac49

Thank you, some people apparently didn't believe me.

Hi Roy, in answer to your question, 1 I believe, he/they wrote links to wrong information & posted wrong information in RED writing to emphasise wrong information.

PS. I'm a technophobe so can't do smiley's as yet.

;) Hi Mac, you could have probably cleared this confusion up in one post by answering woppa30's post ::)
