Had this from a friend.....can't find the site which explodes urban myths....but I'm thinking this is one ;)

I mean.....you can't stir the p'lice to respond when you get things right?   ;D

PIN NUMBER REVERSAL (GOOD TO KNOW)

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from
an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in
reverse.

For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321. The ATM
recognizes
that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the
machine.

The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to
the robber,
the police will be immediately dispatched to help you.

This information was recently broadcasted on TV and it states that it is
seldom used
because people don't know it exists.

Please pass this along to everyone possible.

What if your pin number is a palindrome? Also (most/all?) ATM's wont let u have 1234 as a PIN

The first person in the world to use an ATM was Reg Varney - 1967 in Enfield

Google it - it is a myth.
There was a proposal in the USA to do this, but it looks like it remains just a "good idea".
"Given that these are probably the most powerful secateurs in the world, and could snip your growing tip clean off, tell me, plant, do you feel lucky?"

My idea was to build Liverpool into a bastion of invincibility. Napoleon had that idea. He wanted to conquer the bloody world. I wanted Liverpool to be untouchable. My idea was to build Liverpool up and up until eventually everyone would have to submit and give in. Bill Shankly.

Thanks too!  I passed that on to Lish in good faith, which is why it was sent to me in the first place.  However, better safe than sorry and it's nice to know how many up to the minute peeps we have around to put us right! ;)
