Hi there,

I'm looking at investing in one of these Bokashi kits, just wondering if anyone has/are using it, and is it any good, seems a bit too good to be true, which always worries me!

Thanks in advance

Please enlighten us Matty, several views but no comments... probably as confused as me but too shy to ask!

I have no personal experience of it but from what I've read it works OK. Don't know what you mean by "a bit too good to be true". A little expensive maybe

Hi, hope this helps! -  Bokashi is "a blend of natural bran, molasses and EM (Effective Micro-organisms)"
From reading about it, you put your normally uncompostable stuff from he kitchen like dairy, meat, fish left overs into a mini compost bin and sprinkle a couple of hand fulls of the Bokashi on top. After a couple of days its safe to compost normally in your heap or dig straight into the ground.
I thought it sounded too good to be true as it claims no smells etc!
I was just wondering if anyone had any experience of it. Wiggly Wigglers do them, though I have found Blackwall do them for £35.
Regards

Matt
