Letter to council

Hi there - as you can see, I'm a virginal newbie ...

I'm interested in approaching the local parish council to request they find a plot for my friends and I to use for allotments.

We have to write a letter - does anyone have any suggestions about wording and format, because we'd like to get it right first time.

Any comments gratefully received.

Have you checked to see if there are any allotments localy?

You might be better off poppping over if there is and speaking to the allotment holders they might be able to tell you how to contact the allotment association. Be prepared though you might have to way a little while 1 year to 5 years depending on where you are.

Thanks cambourne7, but sadly we live in the sticks - about 10 miles from the nearest allotments. So it seems we're gonna have to go it alone.
