It's been very disappointing all summer but at long last this so-called trailing variety ( ??? ) had started to flower.  G x

It hasn't been a good year for nasturtiums; I normally have rampant trailing ones by my shed, but they haven't done a thing.

Georgie

Yes.  I pulled out all my climbing ones very early because they looked so awful.  But they did self-seed and I have loads more coming up again for a second attempt!  ;D

That's a nice looking one. My nasturtiums have been a bit bad this year too, got caterpillars all over them but still got flowers and seeds even though most of the leaves are being eaten daily. I like to pickle the seeds. (Shouldn't nasturtiums be in Edible Plants?  ;D )

Georgie

LOL!  I gather the pickled seeds taste like capers but as I don't like capers, I don't bother.  I don't eat the leaves/flowers either because I grow them mainly to attract the black fly away from other edibles.
