Just dug ourseleves a well and intend to use the spoils to create raised beds. Predominantly clay and peat - have added about a tonne of sharpe sand to improve drainage but think this is a bit light. Intend to aim for the no dig scenario for my raised beds....

Does anyone have advice re what best to do to get the best out of what I have?

I'm new to this, SuperSprout is the one for raised beds.
The Wiki at the top of the page is full of information as well.
Hope you get the help you are looking for.  :D

How did you go about making the well? Have you supported the sides or just made a hole?

It depends on how deeply you have dug.  Anything from more than a foot or so below the bottom level of the topsoil is likely to be pretty infertile.  A pH test would be a good idea, together with the incorporation of plenty of manure or compost.
