I have picked my sweetcorn as the silks were brown but on arriving home the cobs are white and very small kernals.

What has happened to them?

Where they all white? Some varieties produce white corn, even red, blue, and black... what variety was it?
Uneven pollination is very obviuos as the kernels are all various sizes..

On the packet I know they were yellow. I thought maybe they could be white as I have four all the same. I'll put a picture in my sig pic.

It's difficult to see from your avatar picture but I'd say they're not fully developed and need longer on the plant. Next time before you pick open one cob to check, if they're not fully developed then leave them a while longer. It's happened to me too where the silks have gone brown but they're not ready just yet.
