There is a fantastic set of sculptures at Lake Vyrnwy in North Wales. This is the one which impressed me the most.
See the rest of them here

Thanks for this - are they there all year & do you just head for the lake, park up & start walking??

Cheers
is it in the sale?

They are permanent fixtures and you just follow the signs for the Lake, follow the signs for Parking and there you are. Take the path through the Wild Boar Gate (last picture). There may well be a guide published, but we did not look for one. Also if you are into birds make time to sit in the Hide by the Cafe. We could have spent all day just sat in there.

It depends on what you like doing. There are lots of walks from the Carparks. There is the Hide with a fantastic selection of birds. You can hire bicycles and ride round the lake (9 miles or so).  I have a feeling you can also canoe on the lake itself. There are some beautiful gardens not that far away in Welshpool at Powys Castle and the Dingle Nursery. (About 25 miles? away). Otherwise I am not sure. Living close enough to go after lunch we tend not to look at what else there is to do in these sorts of places.
