Lorna, it looks absolutely beautiful - I got the impression that you have a very small garden, but it must be tardis-like to fit so much in.  Especially impressed with your pumpkin - thought you weren't a serious contender for the comp  :D :D

Mc55. Thank you. It really is a small garden or at least it is to what I have had in the past although previously 1acre was used for ponies. I think that is the only pumpkin I am going to get, is it usual to get just one on a plant?? First sign of a cue tonight, flipping prickly skin, they were amongst all the seeds I sent off for.
With lots of help from friends on A4A  I think I will be able to improve each year, hope so, really in to this gardening lark now. I will be gutted if anything happens to the pumpkin, I have supported it on an upturned bucket, do you think that is wise? What else could I do?
