Ive sprayed a whole load of horse tail about 9 days ago with a strong solution of round up, come back from holiday and theres no change to any of it,when should i expect a change or should i use something else?

Mares tail has very waxy leaves which Roundup has trouble penetrating. In order for it to work you need to crush the mares tail before spraying.

oh dear, that was a waste of time, i know when ive put sodium chlorate(chloride?) thats killed it of but always seemed to regrow!), To much horse tail to be able to crush:!

My neighbour used triple strength roundup sprayed through the top of a pop bottle to prevent overspray. I recall him saying it took about three weeks for the effects to become visible. Although labour intensive, he said diligence and persistence are the only way to get rid of marestail. This year seems particularly bad, the stuff is springing up everywhere.
The impossible is just a journey away ...
