I have a huge lavendar in my front garden and want to dry some to use in my wedding flowers.....

1. how long does it take to dry?

2. have cut two large clumps, tied them up side down and hung them in the shed in a dark corner - is this the right treatment?

Hi Daisy May.

1.  They should dry in a couple of weeks if kept in a dark dry place.

2.  Yes.   :)

I'm trying drying Chives the same way.   ;D

Yes DM, but they do tend to drop all over the place when in with other flowers once they dry .  is it not possible to use them fresh or will it be to late in the season?. :)

Thanks - thought I was doing it right, just wanted to make sure.

Yes - the wedding is too late to have fresh lavender and my florist said it droops very quickly when fresh too.
