Got up this morning and its working!!!! All lumpy!... Now... for my first batch am i supposed to strain it, keep 1/2 the milk and add it to fresh milk along with the grains?

It smells kinda like wheat beer is that right??? yeasty-boozy smell.

That airing cupboard of yours must be working overtime OO ;) Remember I'm a kefir newbie oo, but this is what I do: strain into a storage jar with my fingers :P, leave whatever slurry is left around the grains, put in more milk, screw on the lid, shake and unscrew the lid so it can breathe. Then drink the fermented brew after it's been in the fridge a bit :P
