First year growing pumpkins, Mars F1 Hybrid. I have 4 plants in total, 1 of which has 2 pumpkins growing which are about the size of a large man's fist (or a small baby's head). Anyway, my question is what colour should they be? They are, and always have been green. Is the normal?Or should they be yellow or some other colour?

Hi Sprout,
Pumpkins and squash can be any color and sometimes don't go orange or yellow until they're picked. Some even stay green, like green hokkaido.
This year it's squash.

Thanks for that, Squashfan. Was wondering if anyone would reply!
The first fruiting ones are now starting to turn orange in places so I guess I just had to wait for a bit longer. Only asked 'cos the picture of the pumpkin on the seed packet was orange.
