Shrub ID - rose type leaves.

Hi I chopped down a shrub in our garden as it looked horrendous. It had rose type leaves, non flowering, NO thorns.  It was about 6ft high and 6ft plus wide. the branches had also self rooted either side of its self

Anyone have any idea what it was?

I know you've chopped it down, but could you take and post a picture of the leaves? Don't think the plant can be identified based on the info you have provided I'm afraid, but hopefully someelse will be along shortly to prove me wrong!
