yes yes yes, I planted a new bush, the first, last year. It is absoultely laden! And have found one growing  by the manure heap. Think that one is as a result of my daughter (7) scrumping last year and chucking bits over the side! ;)
when the going gets tough..........

Not really. I'm in the process of raising cuttings and replacing all my currants and gooseberries, so in a few years I'll have masses. But not yet.

Yep Currants and Goosegogs swelling well, can they split if they get too much of a good thing?

Alishka - definitely! I have quite large berries already, and at the rate they're going, I'll be able to have crumble inside a couple of weeks! (AAAARGH! How can I cope with goosegogs AND rhubarb?!)

Everything in my fruit area is growing lots of lush growth because of the rain arriving at last, and I hope it's not at the expense of diseases and pests later on...

This goosegog's just one bush - and it was a decent goblet shape earlier this year, believe it or not!

One of my bushes is laden with fruit, the other is busy putting on an enormous growth spurt at an incredible rate of knots!! This one is only moderately full. This years addition is still tiny!
