Shifting some ornamentals around the plot...

My hydrangeas aren't budding yet, do you think I can move them this time of the year? :-\ Or will that disrupt the flowering? Thanks. :)

it's getting too late to be shifting plants round as they need water to settle and it could turn hot and dry at any time. Hydrangeas - you may make them abort their flowers if you move them now.

You know, I 'd be inclined to go for it as they haven't started budding yet. Have a look at Metcheck for your area - there's no hot dry spells for a while forecast for my garden :(, so if I was thinking of moving one I'd do it. I'd dig v. carefully round and under the plant tho, have the new hole ready, shove in a handful of b/f/b and take as much soil round the rootball with me.

Good luck with your decision! Cheers!

Thanks. Guess I'll have to sleep over it again! And check the weather forecast for Leiden, Netherlands! :-\ ;) :)
