The Joys of Camping

I've been wondering why interest in the A4A meet up has waned and I thought it might be the prospect of spending time under canvas (actually most tents are nylon nowadays but you get my drift).
Consequently, I thought it only fair to share the joys of camping over the recent Bank Holiday weekend.

Photo One: Getting ready for bed. Make sure you wear 2 t-shirts, a jumper, fleece and of course, a woolly hat.

Photo Two: Mmmm.......Bacon butties in the open air. The black bits are meant to be there kids - just eat up.

Photo Three: Toasting marshmallows over an open fire or burning anything you can get hold of to keep warm.

So, is the A4A meet still on?

Umm, I know this feeling, exactly why I don't go camping with a club I belong to, unless it is warm and dry (I FAR prefer camping barns.YHA's, etc!)  I think I am getting too old...   ::)  :(

Been wondering where you were Pete. I need you to rescue the meet!

It looks like you had a great time despite the cold. I like your barbie fire thingy in the last pic...where did you get that from?

We are going camping at Ullswater next bank holiday if anyone is interested! I'll be on the big camp site this time with the pub. I'll wear me pink boots if you like and I'll be bringing me chook eggs. Wonder if they allow cockerels..Den could do with a break?

It'll be The Great Escape if there are lady chooks within 50 miles, Helds

;D ;D ;D

Hee hee. I'll make him wear underpants.

I'm quite excited about going camping again. Should be a larf!

Your little girl won't need much - a cardboard box to sleep in and a bag of compost for a pillow...... ;D ;D ;D
