Pea problems

I planted three rows of peas a few weeks back and was thrilled to pea-ces (geddit?) when they germinated and looked all healthy. Since then, however, some malevolent little creature has eaten them all - leaving me with just some sad looking twiggy stems.

If I leave them, are they likely to come back, or are they definitely ex-peas? If they are ex-peas, will digging them back into the ground and starting again with either some more peas or something else (I'm thinking courgettes) be OK?

I've had the lottie since December, and am just loving it bursting into life all over the place - even the grapevine I thought I'd pruned to death in the winter is leafing happily.

Thanks for any advice,

Lizzie

Lizzie, your peas could be eaten by the birds they love them, try putting some netting over them, if you are willing to give them a week or two they may just recover.
