How to grow 100lbs of potatoes in 4 square feet

Mine seem to be OK without drainage holes.  I have been very careful with the watering and the soil at the bottom of the containers seems about right to me.  I poked a cane in right down to the bottom then pulled it out.  There was no mud on it and the soil moisture level seemed the same all the way down.  Only time will tell though.   :D
