In work we have just had our pool table resurfaced and at the same time they replace the pockets.

The old pockets are now in a black sack under my desk.

I think they will make great planters but any ideas as to what i can line them with?

I was going to nail them to my shed and various other places :-)

If they've got a bit of stretch, you could use them as melon nets for holding any climbing melons. If they're not stretchy, or are too small, I reckon line 'em with a bit of moss or basket liner, fill with small patio trailing plants like those lovely heavily scented petunias (priscilla?) and some trailing toms and hang them on strong pegs on along a line (washing line, thin cable) between two uprights. Or attach each one at different heights along a fence. Either way, an unusual and lovely display.

Sorry to spoil everyones fun, but pool tables dont have the netted pockets, more a solid plastic type.
Had better ask cambourne7 which they are.
If they are netted then it is a snooker table.
Don't worry about tomorrow, or yesterday, just think about today.

MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

hi guys,

yep there the solid ones with holes around the sides.

and its not butlins more like a prison  and the pool table is used by the same 10 blokes so none of the other 300 odd employees really get a go
