Picked up a specimen today, getting on for 60cm high, nice and bushy and labelled 'half price' at £10 which I thought was quite good value.  Quick question.  It'll be grown in a large container in semi-shade.  With correct watering and feeding, how much growth can I expect it to put on each year?

They start of pretty slow but it should put on a couple of inches this year.

Once they get large they will grow a foot or more in a year. Mine is about 15' tall and the new shoots on the top are about 2 foot long each autumn.

Thanks, Jerry.  I don't want it to get beyond about 10 foot but I gather I can keep it in check with a regular spring haircut.   :)
