Greenhouse shelving brackets

I have a greenhouse with sloping sides and need to attached brackets to put up some shelving. There were a couple of old rusted brackets I had to remove which consisted of three metal lengths in a triangle shape, so that you fixed one side to the sloping side and then adjusted a nut so that the bracket would support a level shelf. Obviously if you attached a fixed right-angle bracket to a sloping side, you get a sloping shelf!
Does anyone know where would sell these brackets? I have tried B&Q and garden centres but can't find them anywhere.

Hello Ice,

You could use Dexion, they make an aluminium type that should work. I don't know if you know what it is so I'll describe it. Lengths of right angled metal sections with rows of holes and slots all down the sides so you can bolt them together in all sorts of shapes. I've made my staging out of it.

Maybe you could try contacting the manufacturers of the greenhouse? they may sell the accessories to fit to sloping sides.
Or if you still have the old bracket, you could take it to a forge and get them to make you some (might be dear)
Or maybe you could fix a piece of wood with one angled side and one side at right angles to the greenhouse, then fix your normal right angled bracket to that.
Don't have a greenhouse myself, so these suggestions might be daft, just trying to help !

Could you not attach 4 chains to the roof beams (of varying length) and have a sort of hanging shelf?
it worked for me in my hexagon g/h

Yes Kevb, works for me too. A plank replaced the trough of peas when they were all planted, to make a 'conventional' shelf. Keeps the slugs baffled too. The brackets are 1" x 1" steel, about 6p from the ironmongers (or £1.99 from B&Q??). The other shelf, in the photo entirely by accident, is also resting on two of these brackets, with the chains holding it in place.

Those were peas. When they get a bit bigger I just unclip one end and shuffle the whole lot off into a trench in the garden. No reason why you couldn't use them for all sorts of stuff I suppose.
