Hazel Hurdles or Similar

Has any one any experience is working with hazel hurdles. I am planning to replace a section of bog standard fence panels that are past their sell by date by some years, they are slowly falling to pieces.

I want to replace them with hurdles similar to these:

There are also willow versions but I do not know the pros and cons of willow and hazel.

I am also unsure how to fix them in place to form the fence. I have seen a local installation where they appear to have used treated timber posts between panels and I assume the have fixed the hurdles to the posts with wire.

Has anyone erected a similar fence and what are the best methods and materials?

Also is it possible to get a gate made up in the same material?

Thanks in advance.
