hi everybody this is my first post so try to be kind to me.
Have just bought some maris piper seed potato to grow in pots is this o.k or should i have got first earlies instead.
Also thinking of wrapping the pots in bubble wrap and putting them outside
sometime in april as i live in london and have a small south facing garden do you think this will be alright.
By the way this is the first time i've grown potatoes

I normally grow earlies in pots but main crop are fine as well, the secret is in the watering and feeding.

You need to water very well to get the whole of the compost moist especially when it is very warm/sunny.

Have a look at this thread to see how I approach it.

Thanks Jerry,

My spud tubs arrived today and will be used on the paved over yard for many years to come I hope, plus now old compost bags and anything else I can re-use.  Once the snow clears.

Cheers
is it in the sale?
