Can somebody please tell me where to buy the seeds for Mexican Marigolds (tagetes minuta). I have been reading Bob Flowerdew's 'The Companion Garden' and they (the marigolds) seem to be able to get rid of horsetails, bindweed, and even the dreaded couch grass.
Thanking you in anticipation.

fat larry

they do what??? fantastic

I chose mine cos they grow to 2m â€" relatives in India seem to have marigolds towering behind them in pictures, and this is the nearest thing we could find. do they need supports btw??
I will finish it, one day

They shouldn't need support as they are so wispy they don't get blown over. They are reputed to kill weeds growing near their roots so I'm covering one mares tail infested bed to compare with others.

Sorry I have taken so long to get back to you, but I have been on the allotment since 10 am.
Thanks for the information everybody and I hope this also helps others. I love trying new things so I thought I would try these. Does anybody know anything about them? Are they invasive? Will I be swapping one problem for another?
Thanks Gordon for the information I have just ordered some.
Thanks djbrenton but I think Kings must have stopped selling them. I have their catalogue and they are not in there.
