Late last year I bagged up several bags of horse manure ready to take down to the lottie when I got a chance. Finally I have the use of a van so can go and collect it. Should I spread it on the ground now or pile it and wait for warmer weather before using it? Or shold I sling it in the compost bins?

I will have access to poo all year round now but I'm not entirely sure what the best way of using it will be - any suggestions?

What state is it in? If it's well rotted you can use it when you want -if not stack it up or (if it's only a bag or 2, bung it on the compost heap.)

If you've only a few bags then I'd be selective with it and put it in planting holes trenches &c as needed, if you've lots then the best thing might be to wait a month and then spread it.

As to the year round poo -lucky yoo :) Again if it's fresh stack it, if not use it as needed -but I don't think you need to manure every bed every year (in fact for carrots & parsnips it's a definite no no.)

All previous threads and the guy that owns the stables I get my horse manure from say pile up for at least 12 months.

If the bulk is wood shavings then that's definitely at least a year, as the wood shavings take a while to break up, and would cause a nitrogen problem if put into growing mediums as they are.

Then there's the concerns over weed seeds and micro organisms in the poo itself...
